Certified Training Professional is an international qualification in training which was developed by the ECDL Foundation and is licienced in Ireland by ICS SKILLS. CTP defines an objective standard for instructor led training and provides a mechanism for trainers to have their competence recognised and certified.
The CTP programme has two options, for experienced trainers and for new or aspiring trainers.
- Experienced trainers attens a 3 day CTP Certification workshop before completing a comprehensive report on their skills and abilities, called the Trainers Evidence Record.
- New and aspiring trainers must attend a 12 week CTP Development course, which incorporates forty hours of training observation, before moving on to the CTP Certification phase of the programme.
FAS has officially recognised the CTP qualification as a basis for inclusion in the FAS/EI Register of Trainers.
